Tynecastle Park is west of Edinburgh city centre and close to Haymarket, the most useful rail and tram interchange. Routes were checked on 27 July 2026; always confirm the live timetable before travel.
Edinburgh Airport (EDI) → city centre
- Edinburgh Trams connect the airport with Haymarket, Princes Street and the city centre.
- Airlink 100 and other Lothian airport buses provide alternatives; Haymarket is the best stop for Tynecastle.
Haymarket / Waverley stations → stadium
- Haymarket is the closest major station and is about a 15–20 minute walk from Tynecastle.
- From Waverley, take a train, tram or Lothian bus west to Haymarket / Gorgie before walking.
Edinburgh centre → Tynecastle Park
- Walk from Haymarket or use a Lothian bus toward Gorgie / Dalry and complete the final approach on foot.
- Road closures are common immediately around the ground, so a taxi cannot be assumed to reach the gates.
