Iceland has no passenger railway. Víkingsvöllur is in Fossvogur, south-east of central Reykjavík. Routes were checked on 27 July 2026; always confirm the live timetable before travel.

Keflavík Airport (KEF) → Reykjavík

  • Flybus and Airport Direct coaches connect Keflavík with BSÍ and selected city stops / hotels.
  • Public bus connections are possible but slower and require careful timetable checking; airport taxis are expensive.
02 · Rail & coach arrival

BSÍ / Reykjavík bus arrivals → centre

  • There is no rail service. BSÍ is the principal airport-coach terminal and is within walking distance of central Reykjavík.
  • Long-distance and local bus stops are separate, so check the operator and exact boarding point.
03 · Stadium journey

Central Reykjavík → Víkingsvöllur

  • Use Strætó buses toward Fossvogur and complete the final section on foot.
  • Taxi is the direct option; walking from the centre is possible but lengthy.
