Airport, rail and matchday travel
GETTING THERE
Maksimir Stadium is east of central Zagreb on one of the city's main tram corridors. Routes were checked on 29 July 2026; always confirm the live timetable before travel.
Zagreb Airport (ZAG) → city centre
- The Pleso airport shuttle connects the terminal with Zagreb's central bus station.
- ZET bus 290 links the airport area with the city network; taxi and app-based services provide direct transfers.
Zagreb Glavni kolodvor / bus station → centre
- The main railway station is on the central tram network and walkable from the lower-town centre.
- The central bus station also has direct tram connections toward Maksimir.
Central Zagreb → Stadion Maksimir
- Use ZET trams along Maksimirska cesta and alight at Maksimir / Bukovačka according to the entrance shown on the ticket.
- Several tram lines use this corridor; check the live ZET planner for temporary diversions.
